Author: Eddie Gulero

World Wide Web maintains a standardized web document format to make the most out of this virtual world. There are several technologies also contribute to this Web Standardization Process. Some of these influential technologies are Browsers, Internet Connectivity and Search Engines. Now-a-days, all available browsers are supporting most of the web document formats. Internet connectivity quality has been substantially improved with the introduction of broadband technology. In comparison to previous two, search engines are a bit slow upgrading their technology. Search engine industry leaders like Google, Yahoo, Live and Ask are investing to cover as much web document formats as they can. This process is an ongoing one and this suits the best to the ever changing web technology sector. One of such recent recommendations has come from Google – Specify your canonical. Let’s learn what a Canonical URL is all about!

Though some months back the concept of “Canonical URL” was no where around WWW. But this has really been a great problem for those who largely depend on the search engines to make business. Search engine is all about a tool that provides relevant web documents when a search is made. Everyday millions of web documents on various niches are generated and search engines too regularly indexes them. But things become worst when a web server provides different version of URLs for a single web document. This results into indexing duplicate copies of single information. To avoid such technical shortcoming, Google introduces Canonical Tag. Google spokesman Matt Cutts informs “Canonicalization is the process of picking the best url when there are several choices, and it usually refers to home pages.” Here goes the Google defined tag:

So there is a question that how somebody ensures that Google indexes the URL you prefer? First ensure which URL (i.e. http://yourdomain.com/ or http://www.yourdomain.com/) you want to use widely and consistently throughout your website. Once that has been fixed, use that particular URL in Canonical Tag consistently. Don’t make your half of the site URLs without www and half of the URLs with www.
Matt Cutts too suggests some other solutions in his famous article on Canonicalization. Checkout more information on Canonicalization in http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/seo-advice-url-canonicalization/.

Author: Susan Morris

Just what is Branding? Essentially it is the standards and values that you will project with your product or services and everything that you use to promote yourself. It is the reputation that you are building that people will connect with when they hear your name. Although the information in this article is applicable to any business, my main focus is to help you brand yourself as you build a personal reputation.

Why is it important to brand yourself? We all want to project a good image of ourselves. If someone does a search on line for you, what will they see? Are you a student working hard to get into a top college or an athlete who wants to attract the attention of recruiters? Are you an individual with a cause or are you educating yourself across specialties or a special niche?

When building your brand, the first thing you have to do is to decide what is important to you and how you will conduct yourself personally and professionally. You will communicate these values consistently through your website. They will be reflected in your blog, your posts, the articles you write to increase traffic, and in the interactions with other internet users.

Create a tag line that reflects your values and helps people remember you and what you stand for. Use it on your website and any other platform as you interact with others on line. Find a forum related to an area where you have some expertise and maintain an active presence. Asking and answering questions there will help you gain information in your area and build a reputation as an expert as well. Make comments on blogs related to your area of interests. It helps you to build relationships with people with similar interests. Utilize your Facebook page, Twitter and other social networking sites to transmit your message.

Build a great website that spells out who you are and what you stand for. Have a blog if you have the time to write frequent and regular blog posts which people can make comments too. Post articles related to your website and change them regularly. Use great visual content and multi-media. Don’t overload your web pages but do have a variety of content that will catch visitor’s interest and that will bring them back. Write interesting articles on subjects you know about and post them to your site, then add links to your site and submit to an article service so that others can post your material as well. This all contributes to raising your SEO (Search Engine Optimization) as well as promoting your website and branding yourself.

If lack of time and money is a roadblock to building your brand there are several sites on line that can help you build a website for little or no money. You can also find web hosts that are low cost or free. Unfortunately, there will still be a time costs to make the most of your website endeavor. There is a new company out of Florida that can help streamline your efforts. My Branding System offers a business and personal website system. My Branding System gives you access to an all of the hot marketing trends available from a website with training from top professionals in the industry.

Author: Bruce Wood

Even the best web sites are useless if no one can find them! Here is a tip professionals use- on how to set up your site to be search-engine friendly by using alt tags and titles.

To understand what a search engine “spider” sees when it crawls across your site, you have to keep in mind that the spider only understands text. . This means that if your site is heavy on pictures and short on written words, the spider won’t really understand what your site is all about. It needs clues, and those clues need to be written out as clearly as possible.

How do you do that without adding paragraphs of text and revising your great layout? It’s not as difficult as it seems, but does take a bit of planning and logical thinking.

The first tip is to take advantage of ALL of the opportunities on your page to add titles and “alt” tags. These tags are invisible to site visitors, but the spiders love them. If you are designing your own pages, then you already have seen where these tags and titles go, but maybe you have ignored them. BIG mistake! Use every one, and fill them with relevant words (keywords) that you want your site to rank for in the search engines.

If you use a web designer, then provide the designer with one title and one alt tag description for each photograph on the page. This includes the header image, and any custom button images on the page. Oh yes– and don’t forget a descriptive title for the page itself!

What kind of descriptions? Here’s an example, using an art gallery site’s “exhibitions” page:

The page title could be “Monthly fine art exhibitions at the Famous Art Gallery”;

The header image title could be “Famous Art Gallery in Bigtown USA Presents Modern And Traditional Fine Art” and have an alt tag description of “Fine Art Exhibitions By International Artists at the Famous Art Gallery”;

The photo of a painting could be titled “Blue and Gold Sofa-Size Fine Art Painting By Award Winning Artist” and have an alt tag description “Award winning sofa-size art”;

A navigation button labeled “Artists” could have a title “Contemporary artists showing at the Famous Art Gallery” and an alt description of “Modern and Traditional Fine Artists Showing in Bigtown USA.”

Use all of the alt tags and titles available on your page. Any text, photo or button which is linked to another URL will also give you the opportunity to add a descriptive phrase to the link.

So, do you get the idea of how easily you can let the spiders know what your site is all about, without redoing everything on the pages and writing copious paragraphs? Use as many descriptive keywords and phrases as possible to get the point across.

Remember- photo tags and titles are invisible to site visitors, but the titles may appear if their cursor rests on an image. So use the descriptions that make sense when a viewer sees them pop up. It will add a professional flair to your site, and add value to the users’ experience.

Author: Geoff Lenox

Google Analytics (GA) is a free service offered by Google that generates detailed statistics about the visitors to a website. Its main highlight is that a webmaster can optimize his/her AdWords advertisement and marketing campaigns through the use of GA’s analysis of where the visitors came from, how long they stayed on the website and their geographical position.

Google Analytics is a free web analytics tool offering detailed visitor statistics. The tool can be used to track all the usual site activities: visits, page views, pages per visit, bounce rates and average time on site etc.

But it can also be used to specifically track Adsense traffic, therefore helping webmasters to optimize Adwords adverts based on where visitors come from, time on site, click path and geographic location.

Google analytic is a technique which shows that how the visitors found the owner’s site, and how they explored it. With this information one can do necessary editing in his website to generate more visitors to enhance return on investment (ROI).

Web analytics is the measurement, collection, analysis and reporting of internet data for purposes of understanding and optimizing web usage.
Web analytics is not just a tool for measuring website traffic but can be used as a tool for business research and market research. Web analytics applications can also help companies measure the results of traditional print advertising campaigns. It helps one to estimate how the traffic to the website changed after the launch of a new advertising campaign. Web analytics provides data on the number of visitors, page views, etc to gauge the traffic and popularity trends which helps doing the market research.
There are two categories of web analytics.
Off-site web analytics
On-site web analytics.
Off-site web analytics refers to web measurement and analysis regardless of whether you own or maintain a website. It includes the measurement of a website’s potential audience (opportunity), share of voice (visibility), and buzz (comments) that is happening on the Internet as a whole.
On-site web analytics measure a visitor’s journey once on your website. This includes its drivers and conversions; for example, which landing pages encourage people to make a purchase. On-site web analytics measures the performance of your website in a commercial context. This data is typically compared against key performance indicators for performance, and used to improve a web site or marketing campaign’s audience response.

Features of Google Analytics

Data visualization tools including a dashboard, scoreboards and motion charts, which display changes in data over time.
Custom reports.
Email-based sharing and communication.
Integration with other Google products, such as AdWords, Public Data Explorer and Website Optimizer.

Uses of Google Analytics

The Google analytics Tracking code: Google Analytics will only track pages that contain the Google Analytics tracking code, this is a small Javascript snippet that needs to be added to each page of your site, either manually or through the use of plugins or tool. For a static webpage or if you want to manually install the code into your pages, copy and paste the code segment into the bottom of your content, immediately before the body tag of each page that you wish to track.
The Dashboard and Analytical Reports: Log into Google Analytics and you’ll arrive at dashboard, the central hub that gives you an overview of all the popular reports (visitors, content, traffic sources and the cool map overlay) generated by Google Analytics. You can customize this page by changing what reports are shown, as well as dragging and dropping the reports into a format that suits your needs.
Analytics and E-commerce: After you have enabled ecommerce transactions, Google Analytics will generate very detailed reports about every single transaction. By using Google Analytics with your Ecommerce website, you can gain valuable insights about your transactions, ROI, and customers.
Analytical Goals: As a simplified explanation, Goals are only a page view, nothing complicated about that. If you define a goal in Google Analytics, you are telling it what page view constitutes the completion of a Goal, and Analytics then tracks it. It is an easier way to generate the reports that you need as well as a great way to measure your business objectives.
Custom Reporting: Custom reports in Analytics give faster access to the information you need and less data reports to sift through. Simply, they remove the data that is relevant to you, leaving you with the bare bones reports that you need. You choose the information and metrics you want to see, organized in the way you want to see it.

How Beginners can Use Googla Analytics

following are the steps which any beginner can follow for the effective usage of Google analytics.
Google Analytics is a powerful tool for monitoring all aspects of your websites traffic, from referrals to search engine activity. Like any application designed to do so much, Google Analytics comes with a rather steep learning curve, which can be intimidating at first.
Set up an Account: In order to use Google Analytics, you’ll need to set up an account with them. This will provide you with a unique identifier to add to your site. You can only access information about your own site; you will not be allowed access to information for other sites unless the site owner explicitly grants it to you. The only people with access to your information will be yourself, and those you give special permissions to.

Insert Google Analytic javascript into web pages: You must insert the code that Google Analytics provides you with into every page you want tracked.
View site performance: The moment you set up your account and insert Google’s Javascript into your pages, Google Analytics will be ready to provide you with charts that will give you an overview of your site’s performance.
Access the site daily & hourly: This feature enables the site owner to access that at which hour of the day, which days of the week the site was on its peaks. So that further steps like any conversions needed should be made to get highest traffic on that particular time scales.
See carefully where the traffic comes from: it helps in getting the data about from where the traffic is coming to owner’s site, whether from search engines or the links of other websites. This helps in accessing the geographical location of the visitors.
Advantages of Google Analytics

Google Analytics offers a host of compelling features and benefits for everyone from senior executives and advertising and marketing professionals to site owners and content developers. Following are the main advantages of Google analytics:-
It has all the features you need to improve online marketing performance.

It is easy to learn and easy to use.

It can be integrated with your Google AdWords account.

It has the ability to track campaigns from multiple sources.

Motion Charts add sophisticated multi-dimensional analysis to most Google Analytics reports.

Create, save, and edit custom reports that present the information you want to see organized in the way you want to see it.

One of the advantages of Google Analytics is that it will allow you to view how many visitors your site is getting based on a specified time frame (from one day to all time). You’ll be able to drill-down and see where visitors are coming from geographically, whether they found you via a search engine (and which keywords they used), or whether they were referred by another website.

Another advantage of Google Analytics is that it will provide you with further data on your visitors such as which web browser are they using, what is their monitor resolution, what is their Internet connection speed (ie. dial-up vs. broadband), do they have JavaScript support turned on or off, etc. This data will help the web designer to optimize the website for the majority of your visitors, as you’ll be able to view your own website from their perspective.

Author: Mona Moore

There are many different and often contradictory views and perceptions of the qualities that make for good Web site design. One also has to take into account current trends and popular styles in modern design, which can differ according to personal preferences.

Despite these variables there are some central characteristics of good site design that have emerged in the last few years, and which are generally perceived by pundits as being core features of good design. While design and creative layout remains an area dictated by personal taste and perception it is important to be aware of generally accepted characteristics in order to assess the comparative visual creativity of one’s own Web site.

A feature that is emphasized repeatedly by many designers is the tendency towards simplicity of design and structure of a Web site. Achieving simplicity of design however is not as easy as it might sound. The modern trend is towards a more minimalist interface and page layout, which facilitates ease of access to the site and usability features. One of the reasons for this trend is that as the number of Web sites proliferates at an even increasing rate, there is a need to create sites that have a clear and obvious message and aim.

Simplicity of layout is therefore a characteristic that is evident in some of the best Web sites around. Very often this refers to a simple one or two column structure. Pages are also read from top to bottom. The days of the complex and involved site structure that requires time to figure out in order to navigate are definitely outdated. A good example of the modern stylistic approach is a site like Protolize (Protolize.org).

One of the main design principles that many Webmasters have lived by in recent years was that it was wise to reduce the amount of scrolling necessary to view a page. However, the modern tendency is for a centered orientation in Web design, rather than the previous left aligned, fixed-width layouts. Many top modern sites have the content centered on the page, which often requires some scrolling. While excessive scrolling is certainly not a good design characteristic, the modern view is that some scrolling is acceptable when it is offset against the better use of white space and content that is situated around a central axis.

In line with the above, there is also a relatively new tendency to focus on the design of the content and not the page itself. In other words, there is less focus on designing a page background for instance and rather paying more attention given to the way that the content is presented on a Web page. This follows from the view that effective communication and not mere decoration should be the main focus of a good Web site.

As designer Phil Brisk states, designers often become focused on detail rather than on paying attention to the way that the content is presented, “With your ‘design’ head on, concentrating on crafting and perfecting style elements, it’s easy to forget to step back and see things through the eyes of your users.(http://www.webdesignfromscratch.com/dont_decorate_communicate.cfm) He also makes the important point reflected in many modern successful Web sites that, while it is important to make use of eye-catching design elements to create flair and excitement on a site, “…these elements must always be relevant and appropriate, and not distract from a clear, coherent whole effect.” (http://www.webdesignfromscratch.com/dont_decorate_communicate.cfm)

This statement encapsulates a central aspect of the modern trend in site design. In more practical terms this refers to aspects such as more open and less boxed-in page layouts as well as the use of color and visual effects to draw attention to the content rather than the aesthetics of the page. As another pundit states, “the focus is on making the site’s subject look good, rather than making the web designer look good”. (http://www.webdesignfromscratch.com/current-style.cfm). In the light of these views, aspects such central content alignment become important as it focuses attention on the content, as well as providing a sense of balance and simplistic creative design. A good example of a site that takes this view to the point of minimalism is that of Garrett Dimon’s blog (GarrettDimon.com). This site is designed for maximum access to content.

There are many other design aspects that conform to the modern perception of a ‘good’ website that are worth mentioning. Navigation is conventionally situated on the left side of the page or on the topbar. The latest trend is to rather place navigational elements on the right side of the page. This may be a trend that is linked to the way that navigation in most Blogs function. Similarly, right side navigation also has the advantage of making the content more visible and prominent.

There are many other aspects such as color usage, which have tended to become more low key and less garish. In terms of font size, the general trend has been to move away from very small illegible font sizes to larger fonts to make online reading more user-friendly. All of these trends point towards the central factor in contemporary Web design; namely that content, and access to instant information are key factors in modern Web design.

Google makes it easier to get a search box on your site.
Author: Jonathan Celeste

Google have recently made it easier for webmasters to incorporate ‘custom search engines’ into their own websites.

Custom search engines essentially enable you to have a Google search box on your website, from which users can search for the information they want from your site or from across the whole web.

Now Google have made it possible to create and manage a custom search engine for your site from within Google tools. All you need to do is:

Log in to Google Webmaster Tools with your Google account. If you don’t already have an account you’ll need to create one.

Click on the ‘Labs’ tab, then on ‘Custom Search’

Select from the standard edition (with ads) or the premium site search (which costs an annual amount but does not feature ads).

If you already use Webmaster Tools with your website, all the necessary details should be filled in automatically. You can choose whether you want to give visitors the ability to search only your site(s) or the entire web.

Click ‘save and get code’, then simply paste the resulting code into whatever page or pages of your website you’d like the search box to appear on.

That’s it.

The benefits of having a custom search engine on your site

Giving your visitors the ability to search your website has numerous benefits for them and for you. If you’ve got a lot of content and pages on your site, search can enhance its usability and create a better user experience for the visitor.

People may arrive at your site via a specific search on Google, and it may be that they enjoy your content on the subject they were looking for and find it useful. Once they’ve gleamed as much as they can from that content, they may wish to make a follow up search on a related topic. If you don’t have a means for them to search your site, they will probably hit the back button and perform another search on Google, potentially taking them to any other site on the web.

But if you have your own search box on your site, there is a good chance that, following their initial favourable impression of your content, they’ll want to see what else you have to say, prompting them to search your site. You may even become their ‘go to’ site for information related to your niche. This time it seems that Google has come up with something that will actually help website owners to retain visitors and engage with them in a much more proactive way.

Author: Mel Joelle

Having the proper keywords is vital to launching a successful Google AdWords campaign. Clicks can range in price from $2 all the way up to $80 per click. Because of that cost, you want to make sure you’re using exactly the right keywords to target the right audience for your site. So, how can you do that?

Keyword Tools

Various keyword tools will help you to understand which keywords are popular, how they’re ranking and how competitive they are. Wordtracker and SpyFu are both paid tools that can help you find specific phrases that are in high demand with low competition. That way you can provide the content for those keywords and get more clicks to your site.

Google’s keyword tool and SEObook.com are a couple of the free keyword tools. They’re just as helpful as Wordtracker and SpyFu, if slightly less comprehensive. Google’s keyword tool will still provide you with sufficient data to begin your keyword research, and SEObook.com offers some excellent resources to help improve your PPC campaign.

Keywords are Only One Piece of the Puzzle

It’s important to have all the pieces of your PPC campaign in order so that your efforts will form a complete picture. Otherwise, you’ll have a hole in your strategy, and you’ll lose leads. That means you won’t be able to effectively drive traffic to your site, which is the whole point of a PPC strategy. So, keep some things in mind when you’re building your PPC strategy.

First, make sure your content is relevant to your ads. Use the keywords you used in your ad within that content to maintain relevancy. Give users what they want, or they won’t stay on your site. They clicked on your ad because they wanted more, and if you don’t give it to them they will go someplace else for it.

Keep a circular pattern in mind when you’re creating your campaign. Use relevant keywords in your ads. Then, infiltrate your content with those keywords. Then, implement that content on your landing page to keep your landing page relevant as well, and round and round it goes. If you experience a break in this pattern you won’t fulfill the needs of your potential clients, and you’ll lose them.

Maintenance is another key piece of the PPC puzzle. You might think that you can start a PPC campaign and let it run wild, but that’s just not the case. Internet searchers are constantly changing and evolving their phrasing, which can make your PPC ads irrelevant rather quickly. You need to constantly do keyword research and track your statistics to make sure your campaign is as effective as possible.

Who has time for that when they’re also trying to run a business? Let Optimum7 spearhead your PPC campaign to ensure success and profitability for your business. We are fluent in Google’s AdWords and understand how to help you utilize all of their tools to maximize the effectiveness of your campaign. Contact us today to start your PPC campaign off on the right foot.

I think this is an important read for all SEO publishers and is posted with the permission of the Author.
If we get enough good comments we will gladly post parts 2 and 3.

by Ian McAnerin

Copyright Law and SEO Part 1

What is Copyright and why would an SEO care?

What Is Copyright?

Copyright is a legal right granted to the authors of certain artistic or creative works. I’m sure that wasn’t very helpful, so allow me to explain: it literally means “the right to copy”. This “copying” can be in the form of translated or derivative versions, reproductions, public or private distributions, displays, or broadcasts.

SEO’s encounter copyright issues all the time. One of the most important things we bring to a client – unique, effective, keyword rich content – is the very thing copyright law serves to protect. A computer can’t just spit it out. It is this creative element that helps to make a site stand out well on the search engine rankings. Google isn’t interested in indexing the same content over and over again, and it also removes computer generated “landing pages” whenever it finds them from it’s results.

By offering fresh, informative content to the search engines and the visitors, the SEO (and SEO aware copywriter) helps a website achieve high rankings without the costs of pay per click, banner ads, and other forms of advertising. This translates into more money in your clients pocket for the same (and often better) results and traffic. Naturally this content is worth a lot to your client, and by extension, you.

Unfortunately, there are many persons in the world who do not respect basic principles of fairness, sometimes due to issues of moral bankruptcy or deliberately criminal behavior, and sometimes due to an inability to understand what the big deal is.

Rather than coming up with their own content, they would rather steal yours. Even worse, once they have stolen your content, it’s no longer “unique” and therefore not as likely to be ranked highly – in some cases you could be dropped off the results all together, if the infringers site is older than yours.

Copyright infringement has become even more prevalent since the beginning of the computer generation. In the past, the copyright violator had to go through some effort and expense in order to, for example, copy a painting or record a musical number. Today a perfect digital image of an original picture, literary work or sound recording can be copied and transmitted to millions of people almost instantly. The ease of this transmission, along with it’s high quality, has lent itself to a whole new generation of people who seem to feel that anything that can be found on the internet is or should be free for the taking.

How Do I get a Copyright?

Easy – do something creative and original and commit it to some form of recording. An oral speech is not copyrightable, but as soon as it’s recorded or written down, that recording is automatically copyrighted. There is no need to register something in order to obtain copyright protection.

You can’t copyright: ideas, equations, thoughts, names, data, or things that should instead be patented, trademarked, or registered as an industrial design.

You can copyright: web copy, articles, musical recordings, video recordings, photos, designs, computer programs and most artwork.

How Do You Prove Your Work is Your Own?

One way is to register it. This is a method by which you take a copy of your work (for example, put your website on CD) and register it with a third party who can provide proof that you had this information as of a specific time.

There are several reasons to register your copyrighted material — first, you have proof on file. Second, registration creates an automatic assumption in the courts that your copyright is valid and that all your statements in the application for it are true. Third, in the US you are then able to take advantage of several statutory advantages that are not available otherwise.

If you don’t register it, your options are more limited, but they are available. Some people use the Wayback Machine to show an approximate publication time, but if your site is new or not indexed it may not help you. You can also point to file dates and so forth, but as you can imagine on the internet these things are easy to forge.

Some Popular Misconceptions

In the old days, if you didn’t have a copyright symbol and date on your copyrighted work you were in trouble. This is no longer the case in most countries. The format is usually:
Copyright © 2003 Your Name. All Rights Reserved.
It’s really hard for an infringer to stand up in court and say he didn’t know it was copyrighted when this notice is at the bottom of the pages he stole the content from. In order to receive protection under the Berne Convention, you were originally required to use the © symbol, but most countries have changed that requirement. I would strongly recommend using it though.

Remember that if you become aware of a copyright infringement and choose not to enforce your rights, you may find yourself prevented (“estopped”) from complaining the next time. Always defend your rights. Even if it’s minor, at the very least tell them you want permission asked for the use.

Fair Use and other Defenses

There are times when you can legitimately use someone’s copyrighted materials. But since this is also one of the automatic defenses infringers use, it’s important to know what fair use is, and isn’t.

Fair use (also called fair dealing in Canada) basically covers the ability to make copies of a work for “legitimate” purposes. This includes the ability for you to print off a copy of a web page at home for personal research purposes, and for public review, criticism or news reporting.

It does not cover the copying of all or substantially all of a work for public display. In short, if you rip off an article or artwork from someone else’s website, and then make some minor formatting changes and perhaps alter a byline and a bit of text, and then post it as your own, you are clearly and obviously infringing copyright.

There is a very fine distinction between fair use and infringement, and there is no specific amount or percentage that is “safe”. Quoting a few lines is safe, quoting the whole article is not. In Canada, fair dealing for criticism, news, or review requires a full citation to the original author. This is not required in the US, but I would recommend it anyway.

Summary

If you want effective copyright protection on your work, do this:

1. Create an original and creative document – web copy, website design, or artwork.

Facebook is one of the world’s largest social networking website that allows you to stay interconnected with your family and friends; you can advertise your products to a vast number of audiences. And when your product gets the targeted audience you get to know this by how much Likes you get on your advertisement.

The more likes you get, your product’s marketing will increase accordingly, even if you are not an advertiser you still want to get so many likes on your Facebook, the more you are into the Likes and comments thing, your social circle will grow more. So, the question arises that how to get more likes on Facebook?

Well there are different ways with which you can increase Facebook Likes, firstly advertise more on Facebook, because it is the major way to grow your fan base Liking, because mostly companies and brands have huge fan likes like Gucci, Prada, Revlon etc.

Secondly, go for competition because everybody likes competition. Create polls and public opinion sections more because people love competition and participate more in the public opinions and hence you get more likes.

Always post latest and new content on Facebook , because people love receiving new and latest content directly on your page instead of going to the blog for it. Provide the most compelling high resolution photos on your Facebook, because people will surely come and visit your page and hence you’ll get more likes on Facebook.

Post enticing content on your page that people first like your page and then can see the content and videos that you posted, it is one of the most tactful way of getting more likes on Facebook. And if you make a huge banner for your page that says LIKE THIS PAGE, then of course people would surely like it first.
To increase your Facebook likes, link other sites like Twitter, LinkedIn and your own blog with your Facebook page, it is the best way of gathering audience that will allow them to interact outside of their website, similarly when you link your Facebook account with linkedIn you automatically build connections for your professional and personal life. Hence, you get more likes on your Facebook.

Always post unique and useful content on your Facebook page, people always like the content which they find useful and interesting. And it will also increase traffic from the source you have posted such interesting information.

Free Stuff and discounts always attract people, who would not want to get free products and discounts by just moving your mouse to a Like button and click it. It will not only promote your product but also you will get more likes on your Facebook.
